Tru Design Aquavalve Diverter Valve (Toilet or Holding Tank)
The Tru Design Aquavalve (Y Valve) is a high-quality diverting valve that is designed and manufactured in New Zealand. It is a must-have for boat owners who want to comply with legislation that requires the use of holding tanks while near shore or in defined areas. This Y valve gives users the choice to divert black water to a holding tank or directly overboard when circumstances allow.
Crafted from glass-reinforced nylon composite, this Y valve provides high strength and lightweight. Its stainless steel fasteners make it resistant to corrosion in salt-laden air, ensuring longevity and durability. Installing the Aquavalve is easy with a range of straight, 90° and 120° tails, and two seal options, making plumbing in confined spaces a breeze.
One of the Aquavalve's key features is its lockable handle position, which is required by legislation in some regions. The overboard discharge handle can be locked into the holding tank position when in ‘no discharge’ zones, providing users peace of mind and compliance with regulations. The valve is available in black or white to fit in with colour schemes in plumbing areas, allowing easy identification of components.
The Aquavalve is pressure tested to ensure quality and safety with respect to sealing and operation. With the only silicon seal on the market, the valve provides smooth movement and an excellent seal with good wear resistance. A composite spanner is also included, avoiding the use of pipe wrenches that can gouge the fitting and facilitate access in tight places.
The standard model of the Aquavalve features a fascia plate that can be removed to reveal simple "open - open - inlet" labelling. This makes it easy to use and understand, even for those who are not experienced with marine toilets. It has a large operating temperature range, making it suitable for all marine environments, from -40°C to +110°C.
